Google Apps Email Migration: Tech Note #1
Migration Notice:  If you currently use FPB’s Webmail (SmarterMail), you have probably noticed that you have an Inbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items folders or containers.  When the migration is complete, your mail will be found under Inbox, Sent Mail, and Trash in the new system, respectively.  Google has a system-wide policy where messages that have been in the Trash more than 30 days will be automatically deleted.  Therefore, please be aware that when we complete the migration in a few weeks, any mail in your Deleted Items folder more than 30-days old will be completely deleted from the system.

This *does not* affect customers who exclusively use POP3 method of email delivery.  Only IMAP and Webmail customers will be affected by this 30-day Trash policy.

Due to changes in technology, Frankfort Plant Board will soon upgrade customers to a new voice-mail system. In order to implement the new system, customers must delete old messages from their current voice-mail box and set up their new voice-mail box by following the directions below. Your new voice-mail box then needs to be activated.

The Better Business Bureau (BBB) reports that scammers are calling people and claiming to work for a local electric, water or gas company. The callers tell people that they're late on a utility bill and that their service will be cut off if they don't pay immediately. Then they instruct people to purchase a prepaid debit card to pay their bill and call them back with the card number. Thieves then drain the value from the card.

Frankfort Plant Board (FPB) Cable customers can now watch two more networks on their smart phones, computers and tablets - for free!

NBC Sports Network and Golf Channel have added their content to Watch TV Everywhere (TVE) programming and FPB customers can download these free apps and watch live and pre-produced programming anywhere.
Dear Valued Subscriber:

Frankfort Plant Board is pleased to announce that we are going to use Google to host our email
services in the future. This is a very exciting change, as it will enable us to provide you with latest
email technology through Google’s dynamic suite of communication applications.

While FPB is not aware of any payment scams currently operating in this area, it’s always good to generally beware and protect your information. American Public Power Association provided the following material on payment scams which we thought would be helpful to share with our customers.
